Mobile App Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Meet2Be mobile application handles information on your device, the permissions it requests, and the third-party services it integrates. It is specific to the Meet2Be app for iOS and Android.

1 Introduction

This privacy policy applies to the Meet2Be mobile application (hereafter referred to as the "Application") for iOS and Android devices, which is created and operated by Pinet Bilişim A.Ş. (hereafter referred to as the "Service Provider") as a free service intended for use with the Meet2Be event platform.

The Application is provided "AS IS". This document describes what information the Application collects, how that information is used, what permissions the Application requests on your device, and which third-party services it uses.

Website use of meet2be.com is governed by the separate Privacy Policy available on our website. This document covers the mobile Application only.

As the Service Provider, we determine the purposes and means of processing your personal data collected through the Application. Where the Application is used to collect data on behalf of an event organizer, the event organizer acts as data controller for the participant data you submit and the Service Provider processes that data on their behalf.

3 Information We Collect

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:

  • Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address.
  • The screens of the Application you view, the time and date of your visit, and the time you spend on those screens.
  • The total time spent using the Application.
  • The operating system and version you use on your mobile device.
  • Device identifiers, device model, and crash logs for diagnostic purposes.

Precise location

The Application does not gather precise information about the physical location of your mobile device.

Artificial Intelligence

The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your personal data or to provide its features.

4 Permissions Used by the Application

The Application requests the following device permissions. Each permission is used solely for the specific feature described below and can be revoked at any time from your device settings.

Camera

On-device

Used to scan QR codes (for event check-in and presentation access) and to capture or select profile and event-related photos. Camera data is processed on your device and is not stored or transmitted to external servers unless you explicitly upload a photo.

Photos / Gallery

User-initiated

Used to allow you to select existing images from your device for your profile picture or event content. The Application only accesses images you explicitly select.

Internet

Required

Required for network communication with our servers and with the third-party services listed in this policy. Without Internet access the Application cannot function.

Push Notifications

Optional

Used to send event reminders, updates, and announcements via Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can disable notifications from your device settings at any time without affecting the rest of the Application.

You can revoke any specific permission (such as Camera or Photos) at any time from your device application settings. Revoking a permission may disable the corresponding feature in the Application.

5 User Account Data

When you sign in to the Application, the following information is collected and stored to provide core functionality:

  • Email address
  • Full name
  • Profile photo (if provided)
  • Unique user identifier
  • Authentication tokens

This information is used solely for account management, event participation, and personalized in-app experiences.

The Service Provider may use the information you provide to contact you from time to time with important product information, required notices, and relevant announcements. Marketing communications are opt-in and can be disabled at any time.

6 How We Use Your Information

The information collected through the Application is used for the following purposes:

  • To operate, maintain, and provide the features of the Application.
  • To authenticate you and keep your session secure.
  • To enable event participation features such as check-in, Q&A, voting, and session access.
  • To deliver push notifications you have opted in to receive.
  • To diagnose technical problems, monitor crashes, and improve stability and performance.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights, your safety, and the safety of others.

7 Third-Party Services

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to help the Service Provider improve the Application and its service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties solely in the ways described in this privacy statement.

The Application uses the third-party services listed below. Each service has its own privacy policy, which applies in addition to this document:

8 Data Sharing and Disclosure

The Service Provider may disclose user-provided and automatically collected information:

  • As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process.
  • When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a lawful government request.
  • With our trusted service providers who work on our behalf, who have no independent right to use the information we disclose to them, and who have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

9 Your Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application at any time by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall process available on your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace.

You can also revoke specific permissions (such as Camera or Photos) at any time from your device application settings. Push notifications can be turned off from your device notification settings.

If you have an account and would like to close it, you can request account deletion from the in-app settings or by contacting us using the details in the Contact section.

You can submit a binding account deletion request from a dedicated public page — no sign-in required. After verification, a 30-day grace period starts and you can cancel at any time.

10 Data Retention

The Service Provider will retain user-provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter, as required by applicable law and for legitimate business purposes such as record keeping, security, and dispute resolution.

If you would like the Service Provider to delete user-provided data that you have submitted via the Application, please contact us at privacy@meet2be.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

11 Children's Privacy

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from, or market to, children under the age of 13.

The Application is not directed at anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, that information will be promptly deleted from our servers.

If you are a parent or guardian and you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider at privacy@meet2be.com so that the necessary actions can be taken.

12 Security

The Service Provider is committed to safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We apply physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information we process and maintain.

Encrypted Transport

All network communication between the Application and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

Secure Infrastructure

Data is stored on hardened infrastructure with access controls, audit logs, and regular patching.

Access Controls

Access to personal data is restricted on a need-to-know basis with strong authentication for administrators.

Monitoring

We continuously monitor for abuse, intrusion attempts, and crash reports, and we respond to incidents promptly.

13 Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy and revising the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes. Your continued use of the Application after the effective date of the revised Policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.
